meet the
first NEW METHOD
IN CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
IN 85 YEARS
OUT OF THE LABS OF
THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS
The lab testing industry hasn’t seen a disruptive innovation in more than 80 years – the last being the invention of Karl Fischer titration in 1935. That is, until Dr. Simon Humphrey, a Chemist at the University of Texas, and his team were making routine measurements when they noticed that the fluorescence color of a combination of lanthanide ions and triphenylphosphine changed depending on whether the compounds were submerged in regular or heavy (deuterated) water. Ten years of research and development later, we present LANTHA.
Lantha Sensors is finally that true innovation that is focusing on detecting water and pure solvents today, but has the potential to eventually disrupt the entire $21B lab testing equipment market, offering a platform that far surpasses all existing, legacy technologies at every competitive level – price, ease of use, form factor/portability and safety.
This is what the PC did to the early computing industry. And like the PC, Lantha Sensors platform crosses multiple markets and use cases – from pharmaceuticals to fuels/biofuels to chemical distribution to nuclear energy.

to Do Chemical Analysis
Anywhere. By Anyone.
with this handheld device
CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REDESIGNED
Making Karl Fischer Titrators Obsolete
Ease of Use
Training time is reduced to no more than five minutes and workable by ANYONE with NO TOXIC BYPRODUCTS
Lowest Cost
Data reader is dramatically less than competing tech and tests are as low as $10 each
Hyper Portable
The data reader is handheld and can be easily carried in a backpack or in a glovebox
Fastest Results
Tests can be done anywhere and take no more than three to five minutes
Highly Accurate
Double-blind testing has shown Lantha accuracy comparable to KFT tests
Customizable
The platform can be tailored for specific testing needs with ease
ANALYSIS SIMPLIFIED
This level of innovation is hard to wrap a brain around because we rarely see a new technology that outclasses the competition on every single level -- but all the above data points are easily provable and can be demonstrated ANYWHERE by ANYONE.
Even better, based on the above data points, companies doing roughly 100,000 moisture detection tests per year can save upwards of $2M every year just in testing costs alone -- and that doesn't even begin to touch the cost associated with the longer KFT testing times, solvent shelf life, the creation of toxic byproducts or the inability to test in the field.
